WebODM Offline Plugin
The WebODM Offline Plugin exports completed WebODM task results as a standalone viewer. You can share existing maps and models without running a WebODM installation on the destination server.
Before you start
- The WebODM module must be enabled on this installation for the download.
- You also need your own WebODM installation, a completed task and permission to install plugins there.
How to use it
- Open the WebODM plugin page in SkyMission and download the latest ZIP. Read the release notes.
- Install and activate the plugin in your WebODM installation using the included instructions and version requirements.
- Open a completed WebODM task and start its offline export using the function provided by the plugin.
- Download and fully extract the export package. Included maps, 3D models and point clouds depend on the task and plugin version.
- For a local Windows test, use start_offline_viewer.bat if included. To share it online, upload the entire viewer directory to a suitable web server.
- Open the viewer and verify the available layers and results before sharing the link or package.
What you get
The export is a standalone results viewer. It does not process new drone images or replace the WebODM processing engine.
What to check
An export may contain sensitive map and project data. Check sharing permissions and protect published files appropriately; follow the included startup instructions rather than just opening an HTML file directly.
Common questions
Empty viewer?
Check that the entire package is extracted and served through the intended local server or a web server.
Missing model or layer?
Check that the result exists in the original task and is exported by the plugin version in use.
