Mission Planner

Mission Planner creates waypoint, 2D mapping, 3D mapping and POI routes. It helps you review coverage, flight parameters and estimated effort together, then export a supported DJI mission.

Open tool

Before you start

  • Select an available aircraft from your fleet.
  • Check the location, terrain, obstacles and airspace. Confirm that the aircraft and controller support the selected export.

How to use it

  1. Open Mission Planner and select the aircraft and mission type.
  2. Place waypoints, draw the mapping area or set the POI. Move map points until the geometry matches the actual operation.
  3. Set height, speed and capture parameters. For mapping, check overlap and generated flight lines; for 3D, also review the oblique passes.
  4. Review the route, warnings, estimated flight time and battery reserve. Correct invalid heights and other blocking inputs.
  5. Save the mission. Download the KMZ file or RC2 Transfer ZIP for supported DJI workflows. Follow the numbered order when the mission is split into parts.
  6. Check the imported mission on the controller before takeoff. In the RC2 workflow, first create a mission on the controller, then update its mission folder with the matching export or transfer utility.

What you get

Saved missions can be reopened and adjusted. The export is a planning file and still requires verification on the target device.

What to check

Flight time and battery reserve are estimates. Routes do not guarantee obstacle clearance; verify heights and terrain on site. Acknowledging a height warning does not replace a required authorization.

Common questions

Save or export blocked?

Review highlighted inputs, geometry, flight heights and acceptance of the current terms.

Mission missing on the RC2?

Check the file format, mission folder and target mission. Use the intended RC2 Transfer utility and its instructions; not every aircraft supports every export.
